Genuine BMW Part

This is a genuine BMW SMG control unit programmed (exchange unit), part number 23 60 7 559 740. The number stamped on the part is 23607559740; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7559740. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH-SMG control unit programmed”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older number 7558696, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7562850.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

It weighs about 400 g (0.9 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
