SMG control unit programmed (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 23 60 7 542 362. The number stamped on the part is 23607542362; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7542362. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH-SMG control unit programmed”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older number 7553670, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
