Genuine BMW part 23 60 7 547 988: Basic control unit SMG (exchange unit). The number stamped on the part is 23607547988; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7547988. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH basic control unit SMG”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older numbers 7547094 and 7547987, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7550036.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

It weighs about 403 g (0.9 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
