Genuine BMW part 23 60 7 527 996: Basic control unit SMG (exchange unit). The number stamped on the part is 23607527996; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7527996. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH basic control unit SMG”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older number 7522398, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan and coupe (325i and 330i, 2001–2006), with the M54 engine.

BMW draws it on the Basic control unit SMG (23_0912) diagram. It weighs about 408 g (0.9 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
