This is a genuine BMW BMW 6 CD changer ai (exchange unit), part number 65 12 6 908 950. The number stamped on the part is 65126908950; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6908950. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch. BMW 6 CD CHANGER AI”. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio, amplifier, CD player. It supersedes the older number 8364936, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i, 330i and M3, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54, M56 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them CD Changer (65_0457) and CD Changer (65_0765). It weighs about 2.0 kg (4.4 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
