This is a genuine BMW BMW 6 CD changer ai (exchange unit), part number 65 12 0 413 424. The number stamped on the part is 65120413424; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0413424. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch. BMW 6 CD CHANGER AI”. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio, amplifier, CD player. It supersedes the older number 0410241, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9112757.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the CD Changer/Bracket (65_1458) diagram. It weighs about 2.0 kg (4.4 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
