The number stamped on the part is 07129904227; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9904227. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older numbers 0306601, 9904078 and 9925739, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 130 diagrams, among them Manual Folding Top Flap Mechanism (41_0850) and Mechanical Connection Elements (41_0982). It also comes in BMW kits Retrofit kit, M aerodynamic kit (basic) (0137899) and Retrofit bumper (2184497) and 8 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
