Body nut — a genuine BMW part, number 07 12 9 901 662. The number stamped on the part is 07129901662; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9901662. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older number 9901482, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 9 diagrams, among them Air duct (51_2397) and Insulation (51_3274). It also comes in BMW kit Set, mounting parts, bumper, rear (2293990).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
