Genuine BMW part 12 14 7 577 970: Basic control unit DME (exchange unit). The number stamped on the part is 12147577970; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7577970. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH Basic control unit DME”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older numbers 7567180 and 7571511, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Basic control unit DME / MSV70 (12_1359) diagram. It weighs about 900 g (2.0 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
