Genuine BMW part 12 14 7 526 754: Basic control unit DME (exchange unit). The number stamped on the part is 12147526754; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7526754. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH Basic control unit DME”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 7526753, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i and 328i, 1999–2005), with the M52 engine — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Basic control unit DME (12_0885) and Basic control unit DME (12_0896). It weighs about 350 g (0.8 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
