This is a genuine BMW basic control unit DME (exchange unit), part number 12 14 7 519 309. The number stamped on the part is 12147519309; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7519309. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH Basic control unit DME”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 7519308, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7520873.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 325i and 330i, 2001–2006), with the M54 engine — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Basic control unit DME (12_1081) and Basic control unit DME (12_2024). It weighs about 348 g (0.8 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
