06 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW dowel, part number 11 12 1 726 245. The number stamped on the part is 11121726245; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1726245. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Cylinder head with cover. It supersedes the older number 0152464, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (M3, 1995–1999), with the S50 engine — and the European-market versions. It also fits every E46 body style (316i, 316ti, 318d, 318i, 318td, 318ti, 320d and 1 other, 2001–2004), with the M47N, N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.
BMW draws it on 47 diagrams, among them Emission Control-Air Pump (11_6037) and Air Cond.Compressor-Supporting Bracket (64_0450). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
