Shaft seal with lock ring — a genuine BMW part, number 33 10 7 505 603. The number stamped on the part is 33107505603; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7505603. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Rear-axle-drive parts. It supersedes the older number 7633769, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 2001–2005), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 25 diagrams, among them Final drive, gasket set (33_1034) and Differential-Drive/Output (33_1090). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 44 g (under 0.1 lb).
