What's Included

This is a genuine BMW hex nut, part number 07 12 9 904 874. The number stamped on the part is 07129904874; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9904874. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older numbers 9901423, 9904580, 9904873 and 9946401, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 49 diagrams, among them Alternatormounting Parts (12_0221) and Alternatormounting Parts (12_0222). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Install.kit, independent heater (2409083) and Install.kit, independent heater (2409084) and 3 more.

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
