This is a genuine BMW navigation CD computer (exchange unit), part number 65 90 6 908 311. The number stamped on the part is 65906908311; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6908311. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch Navigation CD Computer”. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Navigation systems. It supersedes the older number 4105062, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i, 330i and M3, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54, M56 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Navigation System/Video Module (65_0278) and Navigation System/Video Module (65_0448). It weighs about 1.6 kg (3.4 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
