This is a genuine BMW control unit EGS programmed (exchange unit), part number 24 60 1 219 908. The number stamped on the part is 24601219908; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1219908. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH control unit EGS programmed”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1219712, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1219953.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
