Genuine BMW part 24 60 7 532 988: Basic control unit EGS (exchange unit). The number stamped on the part is 24607532988; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7532988. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH Basic control unit EGS”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 7529990, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7544721.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

It weighs about 345 g (0.8 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
