Basic control unit EGS (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 24 60 7 552 700. The number stamped on the part is 24607552700; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7552700. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH Basic control unit EGS”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 7544721, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (325i and 330i, 2001–2006), with the M54 engine — and the European-market versions.
