What's Included

Genuine BMW part 61 31 8 360 421: Clutch switch. The number stamped on the part is 61318360421; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8360421. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Switch. It supersedes the older number 1378210, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 32 diagrams, among them Pedals/Stop Light Switch (35_0186) and Pedals-Supporting Bracket (35_0452). It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Installing Set Cruise Control (9404947).
