This is a genuine BMW lighter element, part number 61 34 9 308 246. The number stamped on the part is 61349308246; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9308246. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Cigarette lighter, sockets. It supersedes the older number 6969134, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M43, M44, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan, coupe and touring (316i, 316i 1.6 and 316i 1.9, 1998–2004), with the M43, N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.

BMW draws it on 54 diagrams, among them Various switches (61_0748) and Various switches (61_0754). It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
