This is a genuine BMW basic control unit DME, part number 12 14 1 432 521. The number stamped on the part is 12141432521; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1432521. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1739857, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1432522.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and compact (316i and 316i 1.6, 1993–1997), with the M43 engine.

BMW draws it on the Uncoded DME control unit (12_1979) diagram. It weighs about 526 g (1.2 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
