02 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW supporting tube, part number 51 45 7 021 987. The number stamped on the part is 51457021987; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7021987. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Covering, inner. It supersedes the older number 8244792, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Trim panel dashboard (51_3232) diagram. It weighs about 5.4 kg (12 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
