01 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Starter — a genuine BMW part, number 12 41 1 726 504. The number stamped on the part is 12411726504; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1726504. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Starter motor with mounting. It supersedes the older numbers 1279747 and 1720642, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

BMW draws it on 9 diagrams, among them Starter (12_0254) and Starter Parts (12_0276). It weighs about 3.5 kg (7.8 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
