This is a genuine BMW spring strut, part number 31 31 1 101 129. The number stamped on the part is 31311101129; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1101129. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Other Front Axle parts. It supersedes the older numbers 1100774 and 2450860, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Spring strut, front (31_0438) diagram. It weighs about 5.8 kg (13 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
