Sealing plug — a genuine BMW part, number 34 33 6 873 449. The number stamped on the part is 34336873449; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6873449. You will find it on our Brakes shelf, under Other Brakes parts. It supersedes the older number 1160133, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 20 diagrams, among them Brake Master Cylinder/Expansion Tank (34_0491) and Brake Master Cylinder/Expansion Tank (34_0764).
