Repair kit, trailing link, left — a genuine BMW part, number 31 12 2 409 599. The number stamped on the part is 31122409599; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2409599. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Other Front Axle parts. It supersedes the older number 6763703, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Frnt axle support, wishbone/tension strut (31_0693) and Frnt axle support, wishbone/tension strut (31_0964). It weighs about 1.9 kg (4.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
