The number stamped on the part is 66129254909; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9254909. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio-controlled locking system. It supersedes the older numbers 2259667, 9254897 and 9254905, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Key (41_2131) and Key (41_2177). It weighs about 30 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set of keys with CAS control unit (0038931) and Set, key, with FEM control unit (0038933) and 5 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
