The number stamped on the part is 66129254906; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9254906. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio-controlled locking system. It supersedes the older numbers 2230332, 9254894 and 9254902, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Key (41_2131) and Key (41_2177). It weighs about 30 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set, key, with FEM control unit (0038696) and Set, key, with FEM control unit (0038905) and 4 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
