Plastic fuel tank with left sensor — a genuine BMW part, number 16 12 6 768 482. The number stamped on the part is 16126768482; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6768482. You will find it on our Fuel System shelf, under Lines. It supersedes the older number 6762963, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (318d, 318td, 320d, 320td and 330d, 1998–2005), with the M47, M47N, M57 or M57N engines.
BMW draws it on the Fuel Tank/Attaching Parts (16_0372) diagram. It weighs about 8.7 kg (19 lb).
