The number stamped on the part is 11411730475; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1730475. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Oil pump with strainer and drive. BMW has since replaced it with 1740154.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Lubrication system/Oil pump with drive (11_6017) diagram. BMW lists the quantity used as “as required”. It weighs about 1.5 kg (3.3 lb).
