Hex nut — a genuine BMW part, number 07 14 7 116 137. The number stamped on the part is 07147116137; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7116137. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 14. It supersedes the older number 7044846, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Wiper arm/wiper blade (61_1065) and windscreen wiper system, LHD (61_1070). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
