This is a genuine BMW gearshift rod joint, part number 25 11 7 501 309. The number stamped on the part is 25117501309; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7501309. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Gearshift. It supersedes the older numbers 1220490 and 1222226, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and compact (318i and 318ti, 1992–1999), with the M42 engine.
