Telematics Control Unit (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 84 10 9 207 075. The number stamped on the part is 84109207075; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9207075. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH Telematics Control Unit”. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Car telephone, built-in. It supersedes the older number 9195454, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9236496.

It fits the E46 coupe and convertible (325i, 330i and M3, 2001–2006), with the M54 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Single parts SA 633, trunk (84_0663) and Single parts SA 633, trunk (84_0665). It weighs about 750 g (1.7 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
