Genuine BMW part 65 90 0 397 229: Navigation computer (exchange unit). The number stamped on the part is 65900397229; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0397229. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH-Navigation computer”. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Navigation systems. It supersedes the older number 0308490, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 0404118.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

It weighs about 1.5 kg (3.2 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
