Control unit set (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 24 34 7 518 770. The number stamped on the part is 24347518770; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7518770. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH-Control unit set”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 7514739, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines.

BMW draws it on the A5S325Z control unit (24_0892) diagram. It weighs about 9.1 kg (20 lb).
