This is a genuine BMW control unit set (exchange unit), part number 24 34 7 518 769. The number stamped on the part is 24347518769; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7518769. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH-Control unit set”. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 7514738, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the A5S325Z control unit (24_0892) diagram. It weighs about 8.8 kg (19 lb).
