This is a genuine BMW circular connector, part number 12 12 1 705 656. The number stamped on the part is 12121705656; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1705656. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Ignition lead, spark plugs.

It fits every E36 body style (318i and 318ti, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43 or M44 engines — and the European-market versions.
