06 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Bearing shell, blue — a genuine BMW part, number 11 24 7 835 452. The number stamped on the part is 11247835452; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7835452. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Connecting rod with bearing. It supersedes the older number 7834959, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 coupe and convertible (M3, 2001–2006), with the S54 engine.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Crankshaft with bearing shells (11_3000) and Crankshaft Connecting Rod (11_3001). BMW's catalog calls for six of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
