Genuine BMW part 12 14 1 739 039: Basic control unit DME. The number stamped on the part is 12141739039; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1739039. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1734710, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1739041.

It fits the E36 sedan (318i, 1992–1998), with the M40 engine.

BMW draws it on the Uncoded DME control unit (12_1979) diagram. It weighs about 565 g (1.2 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
