Genuine BMW part 12 14 1 734 131: Basic control unit DME. The number stamped on the part is 12141734131; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1734131. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1734060, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1734659.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Uncoded DME control unit (12_0856) diagram. It weighs about 578 g (1.3 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
