It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits every E46 body style (325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 33 diagrams, among them S5D...Z drive shaft/output shaft (23_0126) and S5D...Z countershaft/reverse gear (23_0127).
