The number stamped on the part is 23001434691; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1434691. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older number 1220436, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan and touring (325xi and 330xi, 2001–2005), with the M54 engine — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 14 diagrams, among them Generator, individual parts (12_0984) and Clutch Bell Housing (21_0003). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 50 g (0.1 lb).
