This is a genuine BMW ASA-Bolt, part number 23 00 1 222 887. The number stamped on the part is 23001222887; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1222887. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Manual gearbox parts. It supersedes the older number 1220459, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 182 diagrams, among them Gearbox Mounting (23_0762) and Transmission mounting parts (23_1034). It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Set mounting parts (0152674).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
