Wood panel, instrument panel, left — a genuine BMW part, number 51 45 7 961 065. The number stamped on the part is 51457961065; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7961065. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Covering, inner. It supersedes the older number 8023173, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Individual Rubin poplar wood (91_0506) diagram. It weighs about 1.4 kg (3.0 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set of wood covers (8023167) and Set of wood covers (8033925).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
