The number stamped on the part is 24361421368; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1421368. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1218908, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them A4S 270R/310R solenoid valve/cable set (24_0804) and A4S 270R/310R solenoid valve/cable set (24_1302). It weighs about 111 g (0.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
