Vent pipe, fuel — a genuine BMW part, number 16 11 7 176 555. The number stamped on the part is 16117176555; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7176555. You will find it on our Fuel System shelf, under Fuel tank with filler pipe. It supersedes the older number 6750528, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i, 330i and M3, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Fuel Tank/Attaching Parts (16_0372) diagram. It weighs about 270 g (0.6 lb).
