This is a genuine BMW vacuum tank, part number 18 10 1 740 207. The number stamped on the part is 18101740207; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1740207. You will find it on our Exhaust shelf, under Catalytic converter/front silencer.

It fits every E36 body style (323i and 328i, 1996–1999), with the M52 engine — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (325i and 330i, 2001–2006), with the M54 or M56 engines.
