Transmission cover — a genuine BMW part, number 33 11 1 205 749. The number stamped on the part is 33111205749; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1205749. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Other Rear Axle parts. It supersedes the older number 1214066, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (M3, 1996–1999), with the S50 engine.

BMW draws it on 11 diagrams, among them Drive Flange Suspension/Gasket (33_0090) and Drive Flange Suspension/Gasket (33_0091). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 1.8 kg (3.9 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
