Torx screw — a genuine BMW part, number 07 14 9 168 393. The number stamped on the part is 07149168393; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9168393. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 14. It supersedes the older number 7003549, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 convertible (323i, 325i, 330i and M3, 2000–2006), with the M52, M54 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 6 diagrams, among them Single Parts of Front Seat Controls (52_2575) and Single Parts of Front Seat Controls (52_2839). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted.
