This is a genuine BMW torx-bolt with washer, part number 54 31 8 234 668. The number stamped on the part is 54318234668; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8234668. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Sliding Roof / Folding Top parts. It supersedes the older number 0150334, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Single Components for Trunk Lid (41_1500) and Folding Top Mounting Parts (54_0194). It also comes in BMW kit Retrofit kit, E.H. folding top (9410998).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
